Insurance Specialties

We insure a diverse range of businesses. However, we have a concentration of not-for-profit organizations, restaurants, contractors, golf clubs, and medical professional offices.

Client Insurance Challenges

Personal Insurance

We have a strong personal insurance team qualified to handle the concerns of coastal exposures, claims, credit history, and youthful operators. We also specialize in private clients and high value homeowners along with their unique challenges.

Business Insurance

Since our Newport News, VA insurance agency office is located near the coast and we insure many businesses in this area, coastal exposure is always a concern. However, we have several insurance carriers that will insure most coastal locations. Many will require a wind/hail deductible of at least 1% depending upon the proximity of the property to the Chesapeake Bay or Atlantic Ocean.

Employee Benefits Services

Our Benefits staff is equipped to handle the individual needs and concerns of our clients such as high premiums and deductibles, the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, etc.

The Newport News Branch of Bankers Insurance

Caring for our clients is in our blood. Our office is the home to several generations, each having served and insured the needs of families and businesses on our Peninsula since 1897. We are familiar with the risks, exposures, and concerns of local businesses. Our sales team alone has over 70 years of combined experience with property and casualty insurance.
